Dennis' HW #3

      I really liked the question and answer format because it kept me interested and gave a lot of ideas in a short time. Its very interesting to learn about how artist learn and succeeded in what they did. I liked how all the questions and answes kind of lead into eachother and didn't jump to far from topic to topic. In this article Dave Perillo showed me that all i need to do is be determined and do what makes me happy to succeed in life as an artist. Overall i really enjoyed reading this question and answer with Dave Perillo because i learned new things and was interested the whole time.

Reaction to Video

    This video really made me think because when you say the word design I instantly think of art and things similar to that, but this video showed the other more productive side of design. I liked how she took a really sharp turn from furniture design to gas masks for the people suffering in Israel, it really caught my attention. She also made great point about the design of the toys for disabled children to make them feel better and the ways that kids can want to take their medicine. I think it was awesome the way she presented and explain everything because she really changed the way i imagine the word "design".

Reaction to the article

        The article "How to Ruin a Great Design" had some things I agreed with and others I didn't. The road signs do bother me when the letters are unproportional, but I don't get destracted by it as the author stated he did. I agree with the author about the simple and to the point designs because it gets the job done, but doesn't distract you from the road. The whole thing about the companies changing old logos doesn't bother me as much as it bothered the author. I don't care what the logo looks like as long as it tell me about the company in some way. I actually really cair for the UPS logo because it's simple and tell everybody what it needs to.

I have been using a computer for as long as i can remember.

I had a photography class my Junior year in high school and also a CG class my senior year in high school. Both of these classes used photoshop

I have a computer at home but it does not have photoshop nor illustrator

What is your major ?
My major is Computer Graphics

What do you hope to get out of this class?

I hope to learn a lot about computer graphic and get a good spot to build off of for my future of Computer Graphics

Who is your favorite artist?
Adam Elamakies is a music photographer who has done some great work.

Who is your favorite musician? 
My favorite musician is Billie Joe Armstrong, the lead singer of Green Day.

Tell me something interesting about yourself?
I am athlete, I play hockey year round and have played over 40 seasons of hockey in multiple leagues for about 14 years. Hockey is the only sport i play but i love to watch most sports.

Write a five line story?

A normal family from New York goes on a road trip around the country and somewhere around tornado alley they were alerted of a nearby tornado. Their first instinct was to try to avoid it...They tried to do so but still got caught in it in their car. Their tiny car stood no chance to the wild tornado. They were then picked up into the tornado and found out it was not a tornado, but in fact it was a alien spaceship bringing them up to the ship. These alien were nice and offered them space food, and they all ate a nice meal together. Later that day the family was returned to Earth and they were excited about telling everybody. Nobody of course did not believe them and the whole family was put in a mental hospital. THE END.
